Line And Ink Reviews......

Review Scale

(I'm sure that you could figure it out, but just for good measure)

5.0: The higest rating that we give! Don't bother to read the fucking review! RUN out and buy the album now!!!

4.0 - 4.9: Awesome Album, but falling short of perfection. Be that as it may, it is guarenteed to rock your ass!!!

3.0 - 3.9: Good album, but not really all that special. You probably won't be dissapointed, but you won't be bowled over.

2.0 - 2.9: Not great, but also not bad. Only get this if there are a low supply of new albums around and your just dying for something new.

1.0 - 1.9: Look buddy if you want to throw your money away, just send it to me, and I'll call you up and sing Michael Bolton songs to you au cappella. Sure it'll be a one time deal, but you wouldn't want to listen to a CD with this rating more than once!

Moods for Moderns---Two Tracks Left EP

Doghouse Records

Rating: 3.5

There's definitely nothing modern about this record, but I'm not complaining. MFM, featuring ex-members of the now defunct Empire State Games and the generic King for a Day, play pretty rocking late 60's/early 70's inspired pop. There is no similarity between these guys and their old bands, but don't let that get you down! If you're like me, after only hearing the first verse of the title track you'll strap on your Flamingos headband and a Bonzai-Wheels T-shirt to rock out with these retro punkers! I picture the guys in this band watching That 70's Show religiously, and if you like that show, you'll dig these moods.---Will Bell
